Sheri Kell
Sheri has built a strong reputation for her media relations and public relations skills. While serving as Communications Director and Chief Public Information Officer for Cobb County, Georgia, she worked daily with metro Atlanta print and broadcast media and was chief spokesperson for the nearly 5,000-employee government. During her tenure she oversaw all communications and media relations for the county’s historic public-private partnership with the Atlanta Braves to build and successfully open SunTrust Park in Cobb County.
She also directed the redesign of the Cobb County website and implemented rebranding of the County across all communication print and digital mediums.
Sheri led all communications efforts and managed operations for former Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens’ 2010 election and 2014 re-election. She also worked on communications efforts to achieve the successful passage Citizens for Cobb Future’s transportation SPLOST campaign and for Connect Georgia, the 2012 statewide transportation SPLOST campaign.
Her writing and editing skills were refined by her journalism experience with a regional business magazine, business editor for the Marietta Daily Journal and contributing writer for Cobb Business Journal.
Sheri has managed two public relations and marketing agencies. Former clients include Google, Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Cobb Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals, Georgia Public Policy Foundation, Cobb Travel & Tourism, InfoMart and Snapper Lawnmowers.
